Hi, 

My name is Charlie and I am 4.  My Grandma asked me if I wanted to make something for her blog.  I am going to show you how to make an elephant.  I used model magic to make it.  When it is dry I can paint it.  It will take a couple of days for it to dry.

First I rolled an oval for the body.

Then I rolled a circle for the head. 

Next I made a long snake.

I broke it (the snake) into four pieces for the legs.

Then I made a little circle and smashed it for the the ears.

It is starting to look like an elephant and I am very excited!

I rolled another snake and used it for a trunk. I made the tail by rolling a snake and pinching the tail.

I am very proud of my elephant

I am very proud of my elephant. I had a good time making it with my grandma!

Good Afternoon!

This is a quick post of the holder that I made for the challenge this week on the MTC Forum.
I used scraps that I had in my scrap file.  They match the color on the wall in my scrap room.
When I saw this file I knew it would be perfect for my copics.

Incire Love Card

Incire Love Card

Good Morning!
I discovered incire cut and fold designs.  They are usually done with a pattern and an exacto knife and require great precision and time.  On the MTC forum (Can you tell I get a lot of ideas here?) there was a thread about this type of design.  Several people had posted about using MTC software and their cutting machines to do incire designs.   Here is my attempt at using one of the files posted.  It was designed in combination by SbryanW and Nelda.  Here is a link to the thread in the forum:

This is the card I made using the svg MTC file that Bryan and Nelda designed.

I used double sided paper that was dark on one side and light on the other.  I cut my image on my Zing and did my folding.  I then mounted it on a light pink background and decorated it with red stickles.

I came across the tandem bicycle and card cutout in the Silhouette store and knew I had to make this for my DH, Steve, for Valentines.  When we were in China we rode a tandem bike around the wall of the inner city in Xian.  We had not ridden a bike in years and we had many laughs and it has provided some good memories for us.

  I was impressed with how the Cameo cut the intricate bicycle spokes.  I added a couple of hearts to put in the basket and edged them with white ink.

 I used wall vinyl for the words.  This is a technique I had read about but never tried.  It works  well and the letters come out so neat and clean.  I will be using this idea again!

The red is embossed card-stock, and the paper that the bicycle is mounted on is from the Yours Truly collection from Echo Park.  The ribbon was purchased at Michaels.

I love how it pops out when it opens.
I hope Steve enjoys the card as much as I enjoyed making it for him!

Silhouette Love Design

Hello again! 
This was a very quick and simple card using the Silhouette Cameo.  I used one of the designs from the online store.

I was very pleased again with the cutting of the intricate design.  It pulled off the mat so easy and with no tears or jagged edges.  I used white card-stock and mounted it on red glitter paper.  It is a much prettier card when seen in person that the photograph shows.    I started the Silhouette program, selected the design, cut the design and glued the cut design to the background. This card took less than 15 minutes.

I also need to get these off in the mail to the grandkids.  They are very simple heart baskets that I cut with my Zing. The file was posted by "Digibistro"  for a challenge on the MTC forum. http://www.thedigibistro.com/store/
I did not get them finished in time to post for the challenge. I used an svg for Hello Kitty  that I do not have a record of where I got it from.  If it is yours let me know so I may give you credit.  I used the welding and shadow features of MTC to make the names.The baskets and names are made from the K&C paper pack for Valentines by Kelly Panacci.  It is double sided paper and worked beautifully for the heart baskets.

Off to the post office for me!

Hello,  I've been very busy crafting and will have many posts going up.  The first one is a card for our son.  His birthday is not until March but I need to get it to the post office in hopes of it making it to him.  This will be the first time we are sending him something in the mail since he and Megan (his wife) moved to South America.  They have warned us that mail is very unreliable and that they may never get anything we would send to them.  It will be good that Scott will be able to view it here if it does not get to him.

 My photography is not so good and some of the words are hidden.  The flags say "It's your Birthday"  then the steps say, "Dance like ya just don't care!"  The words and Woodstock were done as a print and cut and the rest was an svg file (Kittski's) that I cut from scraps.  I embossed the tree and added to the grass with copic markers.
